long time no post

Wow! Time has definitely gotten away from me! Hard to believe that 2 months have passed since the blog has been updated! I guess the holidays followed by a month of sicknesses will do that! Where do begin? We did so many fun things over Christmas...from seeing the Fantasy of Lights to decorating Chrismas cookies to celebrating Danny and his mom's birthday to seeing TONS of family to (most importantly) celebrating Jesus' birthday it was a blast! This was the first year that Maggie "got" Chiristmas. She loved singing Christmas carols, telling the story of Jesus' birth, getting excited about Santa and getting what she asked for. We are so truly blessed beyond words! After Christmas, Maggie got the croup which was followed by a virus that came with 104 degree fever (which was by far the scariest night of our parenting to date) then Danny and I got a horrible sinus infection which followed with Maggie getting strep. Whew! It was exhausting but we are all healthy now and for that I am so thankful. So enjoy some (or a lot) of pictures from the holidays...and one of my promises to myself for 2011 is to blog more often!

Santa and Smores

Our life has been a little hectic the last month and this weekend it was SO nice to slow down and just hang out as a family. Thursday night Maggie was in the Christmas Magic style show and I have to say she was precious (not biased at all!) My brother, his wife Lisa and the twins were in it as well and Maggie walked down with them. It blew my mind that she walked out in front of 200 people because she has been SO shy lately. Maybe she just needed an audience! Friday night we made chili and introduced Maggie to the delieciousness of smores. She had more fun playing with the marshmellows! Saturday morning we went back to CM and had breakfast with Santa. Maggie was terrified of him but their were a lot of fun things to do while we were there. My mom and Danny's mom were able to join us and it was so fun! Other than that we played outside a lot and just enjoyed each other. It really is the simple things that truly make me happy. That's how it always should be, right? Here are some pictures from the weekend.

Sweet Friends

This makes my heart smile.....

Halloween 2010

Halloween this year was a lot of fun because Maggie "got it" when it came to trick or treating. She was a little scared of some of the costumes but as she saw more she would say "They are just pretending" So cute. Halloween we were quite busy visting family, going to a party and ending up our church "trunk or treat". All in all it was a fun night!

Party Planner

For my birthday this year, I had the best party planner ever...Maggie! She is soooo into parties right now so I thought why not let her plan it? And plan it she did! Danny took her to "the ballon store" and picked out party hats, Mickey Mouse horns, an ice cream pinata and ghost cupcakes. While I was enjoying an afternoon away, they had it all set up when I got home. They did a great job! Official party planner
Henry liked the hat....Charlotte not so much!
