I just looked at the last time i updated and it was Thanksgiving. Sorry about that. The holidays seemed to fly by! We had a such great christmas. Maggie is talking so much now and it was so fun to see her get excited about everything from Cinderella at the fantasy of lights to hear her sing jingle bells and frosty the toeman (snowman) to having tea in her room with Santa to seeing her get so excited to ride in a carriage pulled by "na-nas" (horses) and hearing her say "happy birthday baby jesus". I do not think that you can truly experience christmas until you experience it through a child's eyes. A lot happened in the month of december. We bought a house that we absolutely love and we will be moving sometime in March. We are thrilled about this and so excited to have more room! With an almost two year old, you can imagine how our house is pretty much maggie's toyland. We have yet to sell our house but know that God is faithful and will bring the right buyer along. There have been lots of lookers but still waiting on the perfect one. We were able to see lots of family which is always so fun. I have posted before about my brother and sister in law being pregnant with triplets. Lisa is doing great and is truly a glowing and beautful mother to be. She is in her 19th week and the pregnancy is going good. We found out that she is carrying two boys and a girl. Unfortunately one of the little boys is sick and has most of his vital organs on the outside of his body and will not live once he is born. They have named him Trip. As you can imagine this news has been hard on them and all of our family. But the good news is that the little girl and boy are healthy and doing great. They have named them Charlotte and Henry. Adam and Lisa have such a strong faith and are leaning on the Lord to get them through what is to come in the coming months. They have a blog and the link is on mine so feel free to read about their journey. (The Whitmire Family) It is very inspiring to read and I admire them so much for being so open and honest about what they are going through. As you can see we have had quite a month. Christmas really did take on a new meaning for me. Not only seeing it through a child's eyes but realizing how important Jesus' birth really is. If He had not been born, He would not have lived and been an example to us all. He would not have died in our place and we would not be able to get through the struggles and suffering that we encounter on a daily basis without His strength. He is the ultimate comforter, Father, friend and an ever present help in our time of need. I have taken quite of few pictures and will post them as soon as I download them. I hope that everyone has a happy new year and pray that 2010 brings love and peace to all.

Exciting News
For those of you who do not know my family has some exciting news to share. My brother and precious sister in law are expecting TRIPLETS! Yeah you read that right triplets. We are beyond thrilled for them and I am SO excited to be an aunt to three precious babies. She is 13 1/2 weeks and doing really well. Please add them to your prayers as they need to get here as healthy as possible. We are praying that they are not born before April because the longer they are in the better! You can click on The Whitmire Family on my blog list and follow along with us during this journey. Thanks!

Half Marathon!!
This past weekend, my sweet friend and running buddy, Kelly and I ran in the Rock'n'Roll Half Marathon in San Antonio. I still cannot believe that I did it! It is something that has been on my "to do" list for quite some time. I am so thankful that Kelly stuck with me and we trained and accomplished this together. She is such a precious friend and encouragment to me all of the time! Danny and her husband Ronnie were our biggest fans and were sweet to trek all over downtown San Antonio to get pictures of us. It was quite difficult due to the fact that there were 30,000 runners. But they did it and I am so glad. Here are some pictures from the race.

31 years and 20 months old
On October 22, I turned 31 and Maggie turned 20 months. I cannot believe that my baby girl is almost 2! She is talking all of the time and the weird thing is we can understand pretty much all that she says. It amazes me! She loves to be outside and really loves the park.....especially the slide. I think that she could go up and down any slide all day. Maggie is in love with Danny. All day long she says "daddy home soon" and when she hears his keys in the door, her eyes light up and she says "daddy" and runs to the door. It melts my heart everyday. She loves play-dough, singing her abc's, watching Blues Clues, eating apples, oatmeal, yogurt, cereal, cheese and ham. For my birthday, I got a new camera and I am loving taking pictures of Maggie. Here are some that I took last week.

MIA
Sorry that I have not blogged in awhile. Time has flow by! Life has been great and super busy chasing an 18 month old! We have had a great August. We traveled to Crested Butte, CO at the first of the month with my family and had a fabulous time. We have also been to the pool a lot. Maggie loves to jump in and go up and down the steps. Steps are somthing that she is obsessed with. She loves to go up and down and up down. Who needs toys when we have steps? Maggie is also talking more and more. She is talking in 2 and 3 word sentences which amazes me! I am loving watch her learn new things all of the time. She also loves to color...and for us to draw and "m". I am proud to say she knows 4 letters too! Maggie continues to be the light of our lives! Here are a lot of random but fun pictures from this month! Enjoy!

Crested Butte 2009
We took a fabulous trip to Crested Butte, Co last week with my family. We had such a fun time being in the cooler weather, hiking, fishing, spending time with family, enjoying God's creation, celebrating my mom's birthday, shopping, playing at the park and cooking great meals. Danny and I were so busy keeping up with Maggie that we had to rely on my dad and brother for pictures. Here is a glimpse of our trip. I will post more as I get them!

Thankful
Today was one of those days when I just loved being Maggie's mom. Of course I always am thrilled to be a mom but today was different. She had spent the night at her grandparents and when I went to pick her up I realized that she was not a baby anymore. She is a precious little girl. She lights up my life everyday with her smiles and laughter. Her innocence to the world around her and her excitement for every new experience makes me realize how much I take for granted on a regular basis. God calls us to live with a childlike faith. To get excited to wake up in the morning and eat a bowl of oatmeal and laugh when it gets on your finger. To giggle when a puppy gives you kisses. To sqeal in delight as you are being chased by someone who loves you. And that is how we should feel knowing that our precious Lord is chasing after us.He longs to see us smile. To enjoy the simple things and not let everyday tasks such as cleaning, laundry and to do lists bring us down. I challenge everyone to take a moment and be thankful for the simple things in life.

Keeping cool!
It has been SO hot this summer so we are trying our best to stay as cool as possible! Today we went to the waterpark and Danny was able to see how much Maggie loves it. She loves going down the slides and walking in the water. We also took her to get a snowball for the first time. I knew should would love it because she loves ice right now because her molars are coming in. She is talking up a storm and is now 16 months which is so hard to believe. She is a joy to have and truly is the light of our lives! Here are some recent pictures that I hav taken. Enjoy!

Sweet Friends
This week one of my best friends Shea came to visit. She has a four month old precious little girl, Claire. We had a great time visiting and letting Maggie and Claire get to know each other. Maggie loved her. I think it is because she is really into baby dolls right now and she thought she was a living baby doll! Here are some pictures that we attmepted to take.
Happy Birthday Aunt Lisa!

15 months
Seriously, where does time go? I cannot believe that Maggie Grace is 15 months old...Actually she is almost 16 months but we went to her 15 month appointment on Friday. She is doing great and weighs 21 pounds and 30 inches long. She has definitely turned into a little girl. She loves feeding, rocking and putting her babies night night. She hates to have her hands dirty and already has an obsession with shoes! She is talking and using signs all of the time. Last count she had around 30 words and 15 signs. I am a proud mama! I love the way that her personality is coming out more and more everyday. She has the cutest smile and truly lights up the room. We took her to the pool for the first time last week. She was not too sure about it but in her defense it was a bit chilly. Her new faorite toy is her water table..one of the best toys we have bought! All in all, we are having so much fun and are so thankful for her!

Power of Prayer
I am a firm believer in the power of prayer. Please keep the Denman family in your prayers. You can go to www.supportsasha.blogspot.com to read about her story and be updated on her recovery. Thanks so much!

Memorial Day
We headed to Possom Kingdom for Memorial Day this year and had a fabulous time! My parents were there along with Adam and Lisa. So we had 6 adults, 3 dogs and a 15 month old. It was a blast! The weather was crummy on Saturday and Sunday but Monday was beautiful. Maggie did really well in the car but I am so glad that it is only and hour and twenty minutes away because any further would have been tough on everyone! We took her out on the boat for the first time and she was a bit timid at first but ended up enjoying it. She woke up with a high fever on Saturday after her nap and had it for only 12 hours and then was fine. So strange. I do not think that I will ever figure this whole baby thing out! Here are some pictures we took over the weekend. I think that these are some of my absolute favorites. They really show her cute personality.
Ready to swim!
